RNA Isoform Sequencing Pricing Guide
Iso-Seq 2.0 - $200 per sample. Generates cDNA that is concatenated. Cannot be sequenced without concatenation.
Kinnex full-length RNA library preparation - $700. Generates full-length RNA for isoform sequencing. Requires cDNA prepared using Iso-Seq 2.0. Can pool up to 12 cDNA samples into 1 reaction.
For RNA Isoform sequencing, the final price depends on how many barcoded cDNA samples are pooled together into a single Kinnex reaction. The final Kinnex library generates the equivalent of around 40 million full-length RNA strands.
For example, if you want to target ~10 million full-length RNA strands per sample:
You would submit 4 samples (300 ng of RNA each). This would take 4 Iso-Seq reactions ( $200 x 4 = $800). These are then pooled together and concatenated using the Kinnex full-length kit ($700). This and run it on 1 SMRT cell ($1600). The total cost would be $800 + $700 + $1600 = $3100 for 4 samples at ~10 million full-length RNA stranded per sample.
4 Kinnex reactions can be pooled on 1 SMRT cell, allowing up to 48 samples to be run on a single flow cell.
The exact number of full-length RNA strand equivalents depends on the sample type.
