gCore will soon offer proteomics service using the Reveal panel from Olink Proteomics, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific
Technology: Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) with next-generation sequencing (NGS)
Panel: Reveal 1034 – Measures 1,034 human protein markers (537 inflammation-focused; 700+ linked to genetic variants)
Sample Requirements:
Volume: 10 µL (4 µL used per assay; excess ensures technical reliability)
Compatible sample types: Plasma, serum, CSF, urine, tissue lysate, saliva, synovial fluid, NHP plasma/serum
Cost: $173/sample (includes library preparation + sequencing in 86-sample batches)
Batch Flexibility: Split-run participation available via waitlist signup. Although the 86-sample batch must be processed at once, we offer researchers the option to split it. If you're interested please contact Trevor Biddle at tbiddle@health.ucsd.edu to be added to the batch list. Once we have enough signups, we'll contact you to submit your samples.
Sensitivity: Detects proteins down to fg/mL concentrations
Precision: Intra-plate CV: 8.1% | Inter-site CV: 6.3%
Reproducibility: Concordance with Olink Explore HT (R=0.95) | Between-site correlation R=0.96–0.98
Prepare: Collect samples following Olink guidelines
Submit: Ship to gCore with completed metadata forms
Analyze: Receive Normalized Protein Expression (NPX) data within 2 months
