Sample naming
Our recommendations for sample naming for sequencing
Our recommendations for sample naming for sequencing
When you submit your samples to us, keep in mind that the sample names after sequencing will become filenames and, after the bioinformatic analysis, will become the labels on the graphs. So, name samples as you wish them to be named in your graphs for reports and publications.
Please avoid special characters such as Greek letters, dashes, periods, slashes and spaces (~!@#$%^&*()+-=[]\{}|;':",./<>?β) since they are often lost during the later bioinformatic analysis.
Make sure the sample names have similar lengths and are not derivatives of each other
Instead of treatment/no_treatment, use naive/treat
Make the names short so they fit as labels on graphs
